Sheepshearer's House

Nice picture of an abandoned tin top house my friend took in a South Florida swamp today. :) They say he used to raise sheep. The area is full of wild hogs. Any potential?

It is in the Dupuis Wildlife Management Area, a pretty place, the northernmost edge of the Glades near Indiantown in Martin County. I dont know how old. Look at the grass. Great cattle country. Bald Eagles in the sky a common sight. Hunting deer and hogs by special permit only. I have 2 3-day permits for 10/13 and 11/14. I hope I will be able to make it. I will bring my detector. :)

Re: Sheepshearer's House

I am pretty much immune to the mosquitos, although they are annoying at night buzzing in my ear. Snakes, I will have to watch for, as always.

Hopefully the tin wasn't nailed down with lead-headed nails. Those cast-off lead heads scattered about are a real pain in the ?##! >:(
