Does the government pay for the boat, fuel, dive equipment, tank refills, meals, salaries, lodging, etc.

I'm an investor in a 1715 salvage boat and a retired Cost Accountant is why I'm curious.

The Emir paid the air trip, meals, hotel. And provided us with the Sarjah Maritime police team members, diving air, 2 boats, one jet ski, fuel, two 4 wheel drive cars, etc.

They also paid for the equipment (AUV's) tranfer - Portugal-UAE-Portugal - and it's insurance.

We provided our own diving equipment, UAV time/operation and expertise, all free of charge, i.e., no salaries.

I used to be flown by helo around those waters, and on the other side, and what one could casually observe in shallow water was unbelievable

As long as we do not drift into Iranian territorial waters, we are okay.. ;)

BTW, nice INA cap... :D

Very risky business nowadays with the saber rattling going on and Iran grabbing ships and people.

More power to you and thanks for sharing!
