Hey all..

I have been kinda quiet lately, not a lot of time to get out and considering the great weather that stinks. Anyway The first week of the year I got to hit a couple of local parks for an hour or so, and then got out with MarkGpa on the weekend. The first photo is from those hunts, at least I got some silver (46 rosi, 39 merc, 42 merc.)

Yesterday I got permission to hunt a early 1800's site that was a funeral home after about 1920. I hunted it for about 2 hours today, at first it was clad city and then by a big tree (I am told it is the 4th largest trees in N.J.) I got a 43 Merc. After that I was hitting some wheats 1922-1950s and I got a strong but broken signal by another tree, In the same hole I got a 1915 Buff, 1908 V, a 1917 wheat and a 1912 wheat. I was about to leave for the day and on my way out I was swinging along the sidewalk and pulled my first Flying Eagle cent.
It is pretty flat on the eagle side so there is no date But I guess its not hard to narrow the time period, so for argument sake lets say its an 1856...he he..yea thats the ticket..
Needless to say I am going back...

Thanks for looking H.H. TnT

Trees are great fun TNT, people sit under them with their backs to the tree and the money just falls from the pockets. Keep the coil to the soil. HHing

Great finds and nice pictures. I know the feeling on finding a Flying Eagle penny, I found 2 of them last year. They feel so much thicker than a regular penny. You know right away that it is a Flying Eagle penny, because of it's thickness.

Thanks for posting your finds, HH, Ringfinder
