I've been eyeing a downtown vacant lot for a while and was finally able to hit it. I was pleased to find a sterling Hickok belt buckle. There is some corrosion on the back that I can't remove but I'm still happy with it.

Nice buckle, I think it later than Art Deco, something out of the 40's is possible. Looked on line and couldn't come up with an exact match to yours.

Wow !! Great find! I found a ladies Hickok Buckle last year and people on this site helped me date it to the 1920's. It was Art Deco but it was only plated silver. Good luck to you happy hunting and Happy New Year!!:icon_thumright: Woodie Place 002.JPG I found mine in the ruins of a dust bowl era farm house in the Texas Panhandle. There was a great migration of starved out Farmers from Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas to California in the 1930's in the midst of the the "GREAT DEPRESSION" Remember the movie with Henry Fonda, called the "Grapes of Wrath" Some of those people may have carried that little jewel of yours all the way to California. Imagine how hard those times were! I will bet your new treasure has a story behind it that would capture the imagination of every one on this site if it could only talk ! Just plane Awesome!!! I figured it dated somewhere around that time but I wasn't able to find anything online either. Thanks!
