Beep, my detector went on the fritz so I brought it down here for warranty work, which coincidentally happened right when I had a family vacation to Florida planned. My wife is pissed I brought it...

It's funny what we do when we can't detect, last week in was bored and freakin cleaned my 1st and only half, the 1904s barber, I figured I scratched it so I might as well shine it up a bit, I don't like the way it looks now, oh well lesson learned

Yep. I save my wheats and Indians for rainy days. I only use lemon juice for silver. Less is more with cleaning. Got a pic if the half cleaned?!

Hey, Scrappy.......that is a GREAT haul of silver coins in only 6 months.......However I can remember when we used to pull that many silver coins in 1 week......very true, only that was in 1971 when over 90% of ALL dug dimes, quarters, halfs, & yes real Silver Dollars, were SILVER, and less than 10% clad coins, mostly surface drops in/on the ground. The "Good ol Days"!! Thanks for your postings.....Good Luck for the 2nd half of 2015.

Hey, Scrappy.......that is a GREAT haul of silver coins in only 6 months.......However I can remember when we used to pull that many silver coins in 1 week......very true, only that was in 1971 when 90% of ALL dug dimes, quarters, halfs, & yes real Silver Dollars, were SILVER, and only about 10% clad coins in the ground. The "Good ol Days"!! Thanks for your postings.....Good Luck for the 2nd half of 2015.
