Hi all, tried something different today.I see alot of you up North hunt feilds.Well no good hunting farming feilds down under as they have been only stock and crop feilds since settlement and most settler farms were real poor and little money or wealth.

With that in mind i tried a place where the crops were more labour was required too harvest.Old market garden was a best site i came up with.

With a new road and sub-division going threw the feild makes for easy pickings. How wrong was i and spent most of the day digging farming junk.Hers the finds and few site pics

Great finds Tinpan - I like the spoons, I've found identical ones. They are know as Fiddle design originally made by the French but then became a very popular design with the Scots where they were also called Oar design.

Thank for the info harry, Most of the single span bridges over the main creek here are of french design "Monuer Span" is what they are called. Most built in 1870

Great story and pics - and finds, Tinpan
Awesome coins. If the '35 threepence had been a Kiwi one, you would have an extra-big smile ;D

All the Best for 2009
