silver surprise

i got together with rich, 'dfw' for an afternoon hunt on tues. in my neck of the woods. i came across an iffy signal and asked rich to scan and let me know what he thought. if i remember correctly he said he probably would pass on it. i dug anyway because there was just one little sweet sound and iron around. at first i thought i had a shiney washer on edge, but was soon excited to see a 1938 walking liberty half. glad i dug and im sorry about no pic. but i haven't figured how to take clear pics with the new camera yet.

Re: silver surprise

Really huge congrats. Good job not passing up that iffy signal, that's always a good lesson for all of us to be reminded of.

Out of curiosity, how many halves out there were 'iffy'. The only silver half I dug, which was deep also, was super iffy. Perhaps they are less iffy when shallow, but I'd like to hear, since probably our individual experiences digging halves are fewer than say dimes.

Super find Mark, and finding it within minutes of swinging over the dirt. I didn't here any
sweet sound at all and by the way you had on the headphones for a change, do you think
that made a difference? We'll get that camera set up for ya.

Re: silver surprise

Awesome! I've pulled out a couple iffy halves as well. One in the park and one in the woods. great recovery.
