Previous owner updated our house in 2000. Original part dates to 1850ish. This key doesn't fit anything here anymore. They bulldozed some of the original house so I hope to find more relics. Problem is they bulldozed right through the cemetery behind the house, and that's where I need to dig.

I found a similar key in my yard. It did fit an old door lock inside. Finding skeleton keys in one's own yard must be a Jersey thing. lol

Those are fun to find, especially when you can tie it into a house or building that was there. They always show nice in the display case too. Congrats!
