It was super still when I saw it this morning and I read an article a few days ago abut them sleeping on flowers....Very low light, so I went in and put on the macro lens and got the tripod...When I got back it was still there.Had to use the tripod and cameras timer for shutter release because of the super slow shutter speed required because of the low light.....It flew away a little later.

Here's a copy and paste of something I read...Yes, bees are sleeping on your flowers. While females may return to the hive, males often prefer to pass the night on a blossom. Cosmos are a particular favorite of members of the Melissodes species. No male bee of any species has a stinger, so feel free to take a closer look!
