Is there any particular reason for doing this to a musket ball? It appears intentional.

The seal was struck so off center it going to be hard to figure out..if you can help that would be great.
I'm in floriida and the Dragoons were stationed near where I found these during the second Seminole war.. 1835-1842.
I have seen that they were also referred to as the " V corps."
The badly damaged side has what appears to be " U.S.A."
I also found this bullet I think is more modern.. would like to know age.
And two silver coins.. one 1939 mercury dime.
And one 1821 capped bust half dime.

That was my first thought too. Found right next to a river. Thank you.
