Made it down to the beach around 11 AM this morning, big surf this morning with tide going out, should be good. After an hour plus only had a dollar in change to show for my effort but about the time I was going to give up for the day my GT gave out a good sounding signal and sure enough my scoop was holding a good size gold band. After I got it home I saw that it had 3 small diamonds set in the ring. It is a nice piece of 14k gold with a weight of 8.2 grams.

Dad & I have always preferred a poor/slow start we call it a 'good' start. If we start with a great find, we call it a bad start or kiss of death. :icon_thumright:
