Small but cool and odd specific gravity for quartz

Hey everyone, I hope you all are feeling and doing well, I found a small specimen of those really clear translucent quartz crystals that form on some of my fire agate specimens that was big enough and wasn't attached to to much host to weigh for a specific gravity test and it's coming back at 2.8 specific gravity which is odd for quartz :icon_scratch:, just thought I'd share. 20200517_081812.jpg 20200517_082015.jpg 20200517_082117.jpg 20200517_082532.jpg

The SG is pretty close. Probably due to other minerals in the speci. Nice pics. :icon_thumleft:
