We had a great get together here in Northwest Florida
With access to woods, fields and park areas

Here it is what he found

a cap gun from the 1940's called a mini cap gun, made by the Esquire toy Co.
of Amsterdam, NY. value, about $36.00

a little beauty, 47 point, vvs1, pear cut w/back bow tie cut diamond, set in a 14 ct. gold band, weighing 5.7 grams total value $1700.00

He needed so much air from almost having a heart attack when found,

He just now is coming back to awareness from being told the value

When your in the woods "DIG EVERYTHING" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was a park , with water in it, for divers, and also the area had history back to the 1500's, and this park has a large tourist turnout in the warm summer months...woods had hunters off to one side so mainly the folks went where ever we wanted was a great weekend all in all, i also found a 1851 large cent in that area that weekend...gregg

Where yall near a park or just random woods... Any thoughts to how that might have made its way there

woods off from a park with campsites, etc

I think one of 3 ways there

one was from doing woo laa

or from squatting and taking care of a sudden need

or came down stream during heavy rain from somewhere

Don't forget the disgruntled broken engagement scenario. I've known a few guys and gals to have chucked their rings as far as they can thro them. And I'm still looking for them too!!!

Congrats on the ring!

THANK YOU, everyone who nominated for the banner.
I think I'm going to keep it for a while, I've got three females fighting for it

Congrats again on your great find and banner too. lol I will remember you walking up showing me it and asking if it was one of the "special" items I planted forever ROFL

Of course DD-777 has one of those 2 "special" quarters now and I am sure he will trade you for it. (wink)

I am glad God blessed you with it's discovery as it couldn't of been discoveried by a more deserving person.

That'd be hard to part with. The cap gun that is. Parting with the ring would be mandated by the boss here.

Beautiful find!
