Unbroken vintage bottles are always very welcome finds. Whenever I find broken glass I try to probe around for intact pieces.

I have a nice SS 3/8-in dia rod 3-FT long with a T-handle on it
Hey cambria,
If that "SS" means stainless steel, you may wanna rethink that tool. Stainless steel will leave very difficult (if not impossible) to remove marks on old glass.
