Hi,

New member and new to MD found this yesterday in old field in PA.

Outside has some material or felt covering. Inside seems to have a fabric liner on top which is still intact. In middle of fabric are words: 'Americas Leading Jeweler'. Working hinge still opens.

Can anyone help identify this and know approx. how old?

Also, any tips for cleaning would be appreciated.

Thanks,

NBC

because of the paper still being there I'm going to Guess fairly Recent.
Cool cig case find though .

Nothing at all on the cover ?
Signs of paint or raised design/lettering ?

KOOL & CAMEL had
special metal cases, 5 or so years ago.
I destroyed most of mine back when I still smoked,
filing them with home made cigs over & over.
when
taxes became unbareable.

your's reminds me of a Camel Cig case

the camel cases were painted & much thinner

Ive never had a cig case with any kind of liner they have always been bare metal. maybe for jewelry?

the ones put out by Cool & Camel that were filled when you purchased them,
had the same type of Semi Aluminum Liner Cigarette packs had/have
This is why I'm guessing Recent. as the Liner is still there.

If I remember correctly I rolled mine up in my T shirt sleeve, never had an extra case.

Updated - after a bit of careful cleaning, found some words that seem to confirm it as a jewelry case. Thanks.
