well what did you expect? it's like 82 degrees and the surf is flat. the next snow storm is scheduled a long long time in the future........water temp is only 73 though. cold, cold,cold.

water temp only 73 Ive never had it so warm that would be lovely. lows here 27 water temp probable 40s Florida's looking good

Ice is almost 2 feet thick here, can hardly wait til our water temp rises all the way to 32 so I can water detect again.

I was in Delaware Thursday, Friday and Saturday digging. Had the best three days of digging in 20 plus years. If it ain't frozen hard, go detecting. If it's frozen, bring a mattock! Once upon a lifetime ago, while looking for pewter Rev War buttons, I found an almost frozen ground gave up more buttons that when encountering any other type of conditions. Never did figure it out though.

Actually some of the sledding hills are great places to detect, however, its still not a lot of fun to be outside on days like today, our high today was 3 but what the heck, that's above 0. You'll have some more competition in FL in 7 years when I retire :laughing7:
