Forrest and his guys raided a union camp on the plantation. Along with the town the plantation swapped back and forth several times between union and Confederates.
I feel like it's an officer plate because of the design. I know it has writing on the border as well as the back. Hopefully I can make it out when I get home.not military in my opinion
Now that I look at your photo the wings are different along with the size. The photo of yours looks more like a reproduction model used for reenactments.not military in my opinion ,
