Everyone's probably heard that looking for silver in quarter rolls isn't worth the hassle. This morning I purposely bought 2 quarter rolls from a bank just so my request for 4 dime rolls didn't seem suspicious (plus I was low on cash or else I'd have bought more). Unless I'm buying a coinLok or a sealed box, I usually buy several denoms together with my targeted denom so it looks like a normal business request.

Over lunch I opened the quarters first, figuring I might be able to look for state quarter errors if nothing else and then use some of the quarters to pay for lunch, before moving on to the dime rolls.

Lo and behold I got a 1964-D silver Washington. No silver Rosies but I didn't care since the George is over $3.80 in silver content!

I just started hunting myself and I do the same thing. I don't feel comfortable asking for a whole box right now. Yesterday in my multi denomination pickup found a 45 S War Nickel :)

Nice! Glad to see I'm not alone with this thinking.
