there is also a line of standing rocks on the south side of the rock with the map....there is about 15 of them but i only pictured 3 of them cuz the line is too long to fit all of the rocks on one picture but they all look about the same size and shape....here's a picture.

look at this, there seems to be some extra writing that would make it not look like an I (in smaller red paint) but then again, they made there letters much fancier than today, and they could have messed up consider they are a bit smaller than the main lines. Although you would think it wouldn't be written in English letters, these letters resemble the very familiar phrase abbreviations used for many years.

Hi Ya'll -- Here's what I see-- Yes lots of signs death trap however what's your opinion (other than Iam crazy) of this that's on one of his rocks. The Door and "H" on top in black is actually directly above the other one about one inch in photo.
The yellow area was a mistake on my part and the black lines under it also.

Hehehe that's my buddy chagy! However, not very nice wording.

Tropical Tramp

p.s. as I mentioned, "RIP" is not found on Spanish graves, but "QED", and many varations is. Que descansa en Paz, that you rest in peace.

Michael:

First conclusion, the "RIP" is not part of the origional marking on the rock, perhaps later grafetti. Different style of cutting or marking.

For some reson I keep feeling a mine shaft, with tunnels and adits - have to keep working on it.

Tropical Tramp

p.s. any sign or rumors of mining in the area?
