My buddy calls me just another self righteous ******* with an AT pro...
Here in northern MN the frost has left the ground only in a few sunny spots, but that has been enough for me. Last season I found 26 silver coins and 4 silver rings. This year I've already found a 1925 SLQ, 1938s Merc, 1947,1956, & 1964 rosies.... and one silver ring. I've only dug two wheaties so far. Not often the silvers out number the wheaties.
Well it got cold enough to put my mind back on yard work.
The old logging camps in the area here would be interesting relic spots, but I don't think there is going to be much as far as coinage is concerned.
We also have the old Military Road up here in Pine County. A friend of mine has been researching the old stage stops and "paper towns" that were located along its length. Many parts of the road are still in use and the older abandoned parts are partially visiible from aerial photos. There is also the old story of how a chest of Military payroll (gold) was lost along that road somewhere....
I think a few group hunts would be sweet to work out this year both up here and down south as well.
Toad I call you that because you are. LOL
Hey Sapper is your name as in Engineers?
I am swinging a Nokta Fors CoRe lots of clad so far but nothing good Toad has been hogging all the good sights.
Last night: 1934 quarter, 46 dime, 7 wheats, brass shotgun cartridge, 20s condom tin haha. Decent hunt but prior to that it had been a while since I found even one coin out there.
