The St Marys river is low,low,low... and produced ! Had a chance to hunt a Georgia spot this week with my dad, we had a good day,, it was a long day , lots of pop tops and cans... But thats what you expect in an old swimming hole.. About 2 hours into the hunt , the V3i rang a solid 86 at the base of a rope swing,, talk about a thick green jumbo type clay,,, the ring sat in about 5 inches of thick clay in about 3 inches of water.. it was black when it popped out,, I initially thought I'd had a twist top bottle cap,,, but to my surprise it was a jem of a find.. I'm sure we'll be back.. thanks for viewing and happy hunting !!

Thanks All ! , hopefully we can get out again here soon and find something else good to post,, my dad found last week another hammered coin from an area where we've been digging that will make the 16th coin coin we've found from the area we've been hunting... I have another posting in the what is it forum from back in November.. I'll have to update that posting and post pics of the new coin found.. Have a good week all.. Adam

Nice ring, looks like its been there for a while. Congrats on rescuing it!

Nice ring...the top of the ring looks almost like an old wax seal stamp.

Good luck on your next hunt.

Congrats !! Nice ring u found there.

Great Find...I have to ask...does the ring have the date 1976 on it and initials LW on the inside...yes, I did lose one southeast of cordele, ga,,,cleaning up after the flood of 1994 when the Ocmulgee River Levee failed...don't know if mine could have washed that far but you never know...be really odd if it did,,

Thanks

God Bless

Lee

He Mr.Lee, no sir, the ring only has on the inside a sterling stamp and on the outside near the flag the date 1945, that's it,,I wish it did have the date and marks, it would make for a grand story. ... Thanks again to all on the comments. ..

It would have made a great story...Thanks for checking it out..Mine was white gold...shucks...I give up, reckon I'll buy another.
