I only went to two sales today. I told myself I would stop buying random things. This was one of the those sales were everything was quality and priced to sell. I bought three backpacks (backpacking, messenger, designer) for $5 each. Retail on the cheapest one is $75. Also bought a bunch of random stuff. This lamp shade was $5 and was in perfect condition. For that price I could not pass it up. Does anyone know if this is old or not? There are no marks. Prices seem all over the place. I like it it...so I think it was worth it.

I also picked up a bag of "small spoons" for $15. They had filigree handles but no marks. They turned out to be 190g of silver (not sure on purity). I have never found small spoons with filigree that turned out not to be silver, although typically they are not marked.

It looks good to me. I don't know enough to say whether or not it's a period piece though. It's a Mission style shade. I do know the old ones will usually show tiny cracks in the smaller pieces of glass, caused by the natural expansion of the glass due to heating and cooling over the years from being turned on and off. It's vintage if nothing else. Smart looking shade.
