I just started detecting an 1804 house on six acres on Friday. This is what I found before I got rained out. Nothing major, but I have a LOT of area to cover.
Have a great week,
MM

*Two silver plated spoons - The decorative one has "R & B" on it. The other is a Wm. Rogers like I normally find.
*A mid-1800's flat button with shank- Back mark is "Treble Gilt"
*Buffalo nickel (no date) & a few wheat pennies (two 1919 so far).
*A gold plated cuff link.
*Decorative brooch - Victorian era I believe. (Dug on Thurs)
*Small toy car
*Small harmonica reed
*Asst'd decorative pieces.
*Lead seal (no markings)
*Key
*Many bullets & lead
*Tiny decorative buckle

Bob,
Yep, I have two live rounds that I dug. Should I put them in the rock tumbler with my clad? :tard: :tongue3:

YQ,
Yep, the family is still living there and the house has been preserved too. Very cool inside. Here is a picture.

Great initial bunch of stuff, and I'm sure we'll see a lot more!

The Cinderella Coal seal is from a coal oil container, which you probably already knew. They call them kerosene lamps, but coal oil was cleaner-burning. I've got a bunch of them, some from Kentucky coal companies, but no Cinderellas yet.
