Hunted 3 different places today with my hunting partner JD. Started out at a construction site at a local park that was being ripped out for some renovation. Could not believe no silver coins were found? I did manage 9 wheat pennies, buffalo nickel, sterling silver ring, and a severely corroded whiskey token. One of the locals in this area told us to leave the park. He said: " You don't belong there, you are not one of the construction workers", so we left for another spot to hunt.:BangHead::icon_scratch:

My second place to hunt was another park where I found a silver earring and some clad. My hunting partner found a sterling silver ring.

The last three hours of the day we moved to our 3rd park. I dug a 1918-s mercury dime on top of a gopher mound:headbang: ! Also dug 2 wheaties, silver plated locket, and a sterling silver belt buckle! JD dug up a 1960 Rosie dime!

I wish we could have completed that construction area at that 1st park. I'm pretty sure we left some silver there?! ??? ...But we still had a great day anyway!

Great finds and great photos. I guess you must have a night job .being able to hunt all day..I certainly can remember when I worked the 11-7 shift ,that allowed me to rise at noon and HUNT all day long.

Nice finds especially the silver! I think you token is a 19th century shellcard token which was hollow copper or brass with a cardboard insert hence the light weight. 19th century shellcard tokens often used the Liberty 20$ gold motif in the design. Aluminum was still an expensive metal in 1868

That's pretty awesome to have a park named after you. Good finds. Quick question: if you dressed like a homeless guy or a hippy do you think you would still get bothered?
