This morning was my first hunt in five weeks and even though I hunted only one hour plus, it felt good to get outside again. I found no coins, no buttons, lots of shotgun casings and one beautiful little buckle with some leather still attached.

The buckle is not of age, that is it does not match the coins and buttons that have been found here except for one CW or post CW era Eagle button I found. Since it has a Pat Date on it I know it is at least 1835 and newer and I assume it is most likely late 1800's to early 1900's.

One photo is of the site area where the buckle and previous Liberty Cap Cents have been found, the two pond shots were taken on the way home.
