hi all !! went back to the town common were ive had good luck in the past and i came up with this 1884 half cent. this was at 7 inches deep with fresh batts and it was the first signal. it was a good way to start the day shes in nice shape! WILLY

i did a little research! they call it a bun head! and i didnt relize there is a light house on the bottom left and a sailing ship on the bottom right. its made out of bronze. it might be why the conditions so good. willy

That's a plus point of detecting, the continuous research before & after finding Yes it bronze which does generally hold up better. They also call it a 'Young' head, later was the Jubilee & Old (veiled head).
