Successor to E-Trac

Anyone have a guess as to when, or if, one might come out? The E-Trac has been out a number of years now (8 years?) but I don't know how long the update cycle usually runs.

The 3030 is basically the successor to the E-Trac. The ETrac is part of what Minelab called the "E Series" consisting of all the Explorers, Quantro, Safari and ETrac. I do not believe Minelab is coming out with another ESeries detector...-

Yep... Since Minelab has shifted from FBS in the Etrac/Explorer series to now using FBS2 in the CTX 3030, I would expect the next upgrade to be to the CTX 3030.

Sounds like unsubstantiated rumor... Minelab is very tight lipped about what their engineering.....

Its a rumor on Tom Ds site discussing some new minelab patents. Maybe PI/VLF?
