Surfgod brings me Gold & Silver!
Hit the beach a couple hrs before low tide this a.m. Water was clear and it looked like I wouldn't have long to hunt. I could see a huge storm coming in from the ocean. After about 1 1/2 hrs I could start to hear thunder and saw some lightning.
I dug up quite a few pull tabs and some clad, then as the storm was moving in hit an area where there seemed to be some sand movement with some rocks exposed so I decided to hit it hard. About 15 min. into this area I got the nice gold tone on the Excal and pulled up a 18k wedding band. Inside was engraved 30-06-06, so it must have been a fresh drop. To bad the person only had it less than a month. 5 min. later I pulled up a heavy silver ring. .925 stamped inside and it's gotta weigh about an ounce.
By that time the lifeguards had cleared the water and people were running to their cars. Lightning was getting really close and I didn't want to leave. I hit another signal, again the nice gold tone and was moving some rock and one of the lifeguards told me I
HAD to get outta the water. BUMMER!! Definitly gonna try to get back again tomorrow or Sunday.
Thanks for looking!
