This seemed to be the most unlikely place to find a Indian Head Penny.

It was only 2" down. I could have'd used the provided equipment.

It looks like it hasn't been down in the dirt very long. I say a youngster got into the coin collection and took that coin to the playground and lost it, or maybe even buried it on purpose. GRATS!

XR7ator, you may be right. Likely for the 1900 V nickle I got on a school ground two days ago.

Nothing surprises me . Could have been fill dirt or sand moved from an old location or just great luck. Well done

Maybe a kid brought it to school for show and tell, then lost it during recess? Nice find!

Nice find. Could have been a show and tell item a child took to school, or maybe they just brought the sand in from another area to fill the tot lot.
