I picked up a 505 at a thrift store that I saw yesterday. it was tagged for 90 dollars. I asked if they would take 85 and now I have a metal detector. still waiting for my AT Pro to get here tuesday. Any were i can down load the manual for this? Oh and I hope this thing works, then again I have wasted money on other thing too. still I am excited.:headbang:

I have a 505 and that's an awesome deal. I think you will be surprised at the quality of that detector. I have recently bought a DD coil for mine and increased depth while maintaining pin point accuracy. In A.M. mode it has found coin size targets as deep as 10" in undisturbed soil. Ladies ring at 8/9" and coins in ground I've detected 2 to 3 times before at an avg. of 5 to 7". Your results with the stock 8" probably may not be similar but you will like it.

$90 (well $84.50) for a 505 is a sweet deal, if I saw one for that I would have to pick it up too!
