Decided to hit a beach early Saturday morning , as my farmfield permission was way too muddy and I felt like coin shooting. Swung for two hours in an unseasonably warm rain, while enjoying the sound of the surf on the deserted beach. Dug 57 coins, including 6 silvers, 1 Indian penny dated 1904, several wheats, and a 1952 Canadian penny. Some dates visible on the silver, including the 1923 dime, 1946 quarter, and 1952 dime. Given the hits I had in a relatively small washed out area, I suspect this beach has not been hit too bad. Hope to score a gold ring there some day. Good luck out there, and happy hunting.

Very Nice!!!! Congrats!!!!

How deep were they and what did you have for settings on the equinox?

I used Beach 1 with default settings, as I was not going in the actual water. I left the sensitivity alone, since it was running quiet after the ground balance and noise cancelation. The targets weren't too deep, as I mainly hunted areas where the tide had washed away the thick sands. I may try lowering the recovery speed a little next time to perhaps increase depth a bit, as this beach does not seem too trashy. HH!

Sounds like this beach needs to be re-visited:icon_thumleft:

Thats a great day I would be swinging in the rain too finding cool coins like those Great job

Good work! 6 silvers in a day is phenomenal no matter where they came from. Keep up the good work!

Congrats on the old coins! :occasion14:
