Low of 7 degrees at Tulsa Int. Airport over night and high today forecast to be in the low 20s. Lite snow and northern gusty wind. I forgot to bring in my brass monkey. You know what that means! ;D Monty

Drove from Lansing Michigan to East Jordan, Mich yesterday.
It was 6 degrees in Lansing, Grayling to Gaylord -17 to -19.
East Jordan was a Balmy -1 at 10pm when I got home.
This morning was just above zero, with lots of new white crap and a fresh breeze!

Haven't had the heart to look at the thermometer after I spent an hour on the tractor blowing snow.

I'm sure Thompy is a bit cooler than we are, a couple of hundred more miles North!

While normally I'm very even tempered I am taking a dislike to anyone that writes about temps in the 70's right now.
There is a saying something about balls and brass monkeys that seems very approriate right now........

Good Luck all! And stay warm if you are anywhere white!

In olden times British sailing warships had parallel rails to hold the cannon balls.
They were made by the Mun-Key company founded by Mr. Munchaven and Mr. Keystone
who used Chinese labor to make these rails out of brass.
When Admiral Nelson sailed to very cold climates the temperature was so cold the rails shrank.
Thus the cannon balls fell off.
Now we have the term freeze the balls off a brass Mun-Key.

I will tell later about "Nelsons Blood".

Will warm to a Balmy 10 today if the Weather Guesser is right

Schuylkill County could be in for sub-zero temperatures tonight, according to a National Weather Service forecast.

Today will be mostly sunny but very cold with a high about 10 degrees, and 10 to 15 mph wind leading to a wind chill around zero, according to Craig Evanego, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, State College.

The National Weather Service issued a wind chill advisory for all of Northeast Pennsylvania through early this afternoon as Arctic air pushing into the region combines with winds of 5 to 10 mph to produce wind chill values of minus 10 to minus 20.

The weather service warned the wind chill will be cold enough to cause frostbite in 30 minutes or less. It urged people venturing outside to use common sense and dress warmly, making sure to cover all exposed skin.

Good day for Ice Cream
