-12 :o :o Was supposed to clear more trees today. I think it can wait until double digits on the other side of zero.

Lance(gunsmoke) is in upper Wi.He woke up last night and it was -16 in his truck and -33 outside. His bunk heater had quit and his op-idle on the truck wouldn't work,so he started the truck and sat up with it.

Went to work at 3:30 am and the temp was -3° with windchill in the minus twenties.

Almost 2 in the afternoon and temp is only 5° with a windchill of -13°.

I need to get my car started since it hasn't been used for 2 days. Picked up my friends car after work this morning and brought it home incase my car doesn't start.

An old trick i leaned and works (used it 15 years ago)on a 70's van i owned
get a metal cake pan fill with charcoal (even with the sides)then light it till it get to coals
place it under the oil pan warms the oil up so its not slime(keep an eye on it ::) )
also synthetic oil wont freeze/gum up like natural oil will on super cold days
jumper cables!< I had to run my kids car off my battery. :icon_sunny:
It lost all its crank in 4 tries :tard: (needs a new battery :tongue3: )
so for the next 1/2 hour I charged and ran the car off my battery
dont be afraid to use the gas pedal even on a fuel injection car (remember the old days)
it started after i treated it like it had a carburetor :icon_king:

We started out at -13, warmed up to 3 above, back down to -9. Fired up the van for a few minutes this afternoon then came back in and built a huge pot of home-made chicken soup, taste an awful lot better on these frigid days.
