That's not a mirage, it's a Franklin!

I got to hunt again this evening at a house where I've found nine silvers in the last two days. As I drove over, I noticed the moonrise to the East; it wasn't full, but it appears to be close. I should have considered it an omen, because early in the hunt I got a signal that fluctuated between 91 and 93 on my XLT. My first thought was "Half!" I pulled the plug, and there, in the hole about five inches down, was a full moon. Okay, it wasn't, but it had that look to it. The half was laying flat, big and round, and I had only to gently retrieve it. There wasn't much dirt sticking to Ben's face, so I knew I had my second Franklin. Both were found about a mile apart.
A few days ago, Mirage and I were having a discussion about the relative merits of finding half dollars; I haven't found a Kennedy yet, but I'll be happy to add this 57 and two more dimes, giving me 12 silvers in three days. There is still a lot to the site; I pulled a handful of wheats as well, including a 36D. After I clean the rest, I'll report on them if something significant is there.

Nice job on the half. All I've had so far is two JFK's, but one of them was silver.

keep up the good work.

Re: That's not a mirage, it's a Franklin!

great franklin you got there
have'nt found one my self yet .
as a matter of fact have'nt found any halfs,
strange too because there is a liquor store thats been around for a long time where i live
and the owner has always given a half dollar as change(when applicable) its kinda like a trade mark for the store.

I keep getting those 50 cent hits on my detector and think i have a half and i always seem to
find 2 quarters in the hole ;D strange but thats what happens

nice finds

Don't you just love the sight of those half's sitting in the hole..
Sounds like a house that Skinny Puppy and I have been hitting for the last few months. So far 24 silver coins have come out of it. I just got permission from 2 neighbors to do theirs too...
Congrats DPSB

Excellent silver HD. I know I'd be happy with One silver in a month, but 12 in three says Wow...
