Maybe about 1872 the country was all about creating wealth for the citizenry by exploiting natural resources, but it sure seems to have changed a lot from that concept!

What do YOU think about paying for an 'Adventure Pass' if you want to go out and prospect?

They've hedged around the 1872 mining law so much that it would only be the icing on the cake for them to just take it off the books. Closed gates for mud. Closed gates for fire season. Off hiway stickers. Dredging permits. Where will it end? It won't.
