I have been bemoaning the fact that, even though I've found Merc's and a Barber dime, I could not snag a Rosie. Well the God's smiled big time today! Returning to an old spring where people have been gathering for a very long time, and taking the good advice of several of you, I took the path less traveled,

and pounded an area and listened for those deep tones. It paid off!

I walked away with a 1957 d, 1957 and a 1956 d Rosie and 2 1957 d, 1952 d and a 1951 d wheaties.
I also found two tiny flat buttons that have
SUPERFINE COLOUR on the back. I'm assuming European since the spelling of COLOUR. Any info would be greatly appreciated to future my research.
Best day ever!

Thanks for looking and HH!
