Ok, it is not a seated or barber; it is not a 1921 or 1938D; But it does make me very happy! It's a 1934 90% Half Balboa and it is in EF/Au condition
Thanks for looking!

Our own mint made the blanks sos they are the same metal as our halves- that being the case my guess is '64 and before are 90%, don't think there are any 40% but not positive. HH Mark

SS, you are right about the first part. Pre-1964 are 90% silver. You can see "Ley 0.900" and "G. R. 12.50" on the reverse. My coin weighs exactly 12.5g. There are also 40% just as half dollar. I have two 1966 and one 1968. Both of them are 40% silver (same edge, weight, sound, toning). I have not found any 1965 or 1967 or 1970 yet. According to CIA website information, Panama money is the same as US money as to size, domination, and value. You can use US dollar in Panama without exchange to Balboa.

I have a proposal: Let's travel to Panama and buy boxes of medio balboa to hunt any silvers. Who is up to it?
