Hampton Court was renamed Nuestra Senora del Carmen after its capture at sea by the fleet of General Don Antonio de Echeverz. Today she is known as the Rio Mar Wreck, and sits about 900 yards off of the first green at the Rio mar Golf Course. My records have her as a fairly large 713-ton vessel with 72 Guns, that Echeverz later made his Capitana.

Thanks for the info as I was reading some conflicting information on the ship or let's say not so clear.

I detect the history: I've visited archives up & down the entire US East Coast, Bahamas, Jamaica, Kew, The Hague, etc. Have yet to go to Seville or S.American archives.
