Well these finds came just before the "The Big Freeze"...We were driving to the site and talking to ourselves, saying wouldn't be nice to dig something we haven't dug before....
Made it out to a spot I hunted a few years back that produced a few RP Rev War buttons....noticed, that the field had beans in it and were long removed (last time we hunted field, grass was still long)....I was smiling from ear to ear....that day my friend and I pulled out 8 Rev War buttons, he got 4 RP buttons and I managed this 7th Regt of foot and British Marines buttons along with 2 worn RP buttons...well this hunt truly saved my year...don't get me wrong, I love everything I dug this year, but have mainly dug the same stuff over and over....Will post my 2017 year end post shortly....thanks for looking and hope all the best to you all in 2018

Those are some crazy great condition buttons considering its a ploughed field. I can't recall ever seeing a 7th posted and if there was it probably wasn't recently!
Congrats in a rare thing to find!'
Pewter just doesn't survive, you sure did make your year!
Hopefully there's some more great things to find at that site!

The year was running out of daylight, but the weather held up and the farmer cooperated, and thus your year was saved!!

Very nice. Even hades froze over here in Maryland, so I'm taking clad to the credit union coin machine, labeling stuff. Doing year end totals. All that.

Oh yah! Killer button brother. I’ve yet to find an rev button in any condition. Yours, that’s a stunner.

Don’t leave that one out in the cold. It may shatter. The deep freeze has us good, but here’s to spring 2018. Lol.

Congrats again

Excellent pieces of fragile early US history. I reckon I'll never experience an old US recovery like these so thanks for allowing me to enjoy yours mate. Well done.:headbang:
