Iceberg gives up my first silver of 2007

I really wasn't going to hunt today. I called Zoso at 7am to tell him that I had a bad toothache and wouldn't be joining him and Mirage and Nate today at the Iceberg.
Problem was, as I lay there with my tooth throbbing after talking to him, I couldn't get back to sleep. Eventually I decided it would be better to be in pain while digging coins than to lay there in bed and suffer. I took some pain meds and drove off.
I arrived and they were already hunting the "wheat field" area and pulling wheaties right and left. It hurt SO bad every time that I knelt down to retrieve a target that I found myself kinda reluctant to bend down and dig. But I did dig and did pretty well today.
I ended up with 2 silver Washingtone, 1962 and 1944, a 44 Merc and a 47 Rosie. I also found 3 silver alloy War Nickles. Didn't count the wheats, but I didn't dig as many as they did I guarantee. One was a 1919 and another a 1920. The rest were 30s and 40s.
The marble is a good one.

HH all!

You're tougher than I am, WITHOUT the toothache, I spent a few weeks in Dayton last winter, almost died from the cold, throw in a toothache, I would have called it quits, but..........looking at that haul.... I may migrate to Ohio.

Congratulations, and sorry about the toothache.

Great way to start the new year Dan. You are on track for 200 silver in 2007. ;)

It was a good hunt. I found my first silver of the year, A LOT of wheat pennies, 5 marbles and these...

When I came home and was counting my wheat pennies. After about the 50th wheat penny(got 92 today) I was just throwing the coins in my pouch without looking at them. It was a nice surprise to find the second.

Re: Iceberg gives up my first silver of 2007

Thanks guys.. It was great...

I wondered around allot today. Trying to get my bearings. Settled down on a spot that produced the Rosie and the Mem's.
I had the 1400 coil for the DFX on to start, But ended up switching back to the stock coil, due to the targets being so close together.

My take from the Iceberg..

[67 Wheat's (oldest 17,20,21)
1 Silver Rosie 1946
27 Memorial's

Awesome day!

ZoSo71

Dan..Rinse that tooth in warm saltwater for a bit..It will get you through till Monday.
