The Money tree

Hi all;
Here where i live we have the largest Morton Bay Fig tree in the US. Google Morton Bay fig tree Santa Barbara. They have HUGE roots , some three feet tall !
Got out and went between all the roots today.Pulled $12.42 in clad , a bus token (still good!) a Canadian pennie , a wheat pennie and the rest of the crap.

That is an excellent hunt. That's an old tree. There has to be some silver under all that clad. People have been seeking shade under that tree for many, many years.

I once pulled a Barber dime from the grassy area next to the tree.

It looks like the roots engulf everything around the tree. I’m betting much of the early relics dropped are in the root system now.

Thats odd. My dad always told me money didn't grow on trees ! Guess he didn't think to dig in the ground around the tree ! That is one huge tree. Congrats on your finds.

That is one of the MOST impressive trees I have ever seen! Folks have been sheltering under it's massive spread for a long time. Nice scores on the clad and other cool stuff. Thanks for sharing this awesome spectacle of nature mate. Extremely COOL!
