Thread is unlocked at original posters request. Keep the politics out of the thread. When you start using liberal and conservative labels in posts it makes the post and thread political..... As long as posts are not political thread can remain open....

Who is really at fault is the people that throw out this nonsense on cable about kill every one and fighting constantly. This gets in kids minds after a while and when a person is de arranged or a little slow ,thats what happends the normal people would never do a killing etc. I blame the videos on tv and cable. Never would I let my children watch such garbage and killing machines etc. The people that make these videos don't care only for MONEY and thats all, after 10 yrs of this kids dont see the wrong it causes and goes off the deep end and then all people start blaming the people with guns. But have you ever noticed most guns are stolen from their parents or friends house. As was said people kill people guns don't. jmho

The big boys are starting to move back and forth. Buying or selling gold or silver for there sweep fund and undervalued stocks for the profit. The rich are going to get richer and so are you if you can follow them, but like the old saying, you have to have money to make money. Frank

common sense tells you that "soft targets" are the prefered ones of these whack job mass killer / terrorist types ( ever notice they do not attack military bases or police stations?)-- thats because they need lots of unarmed "victim" type people to be able to pull off a "mass killing" type of crime -- and where to better find lots of unarmed easy to kill people than a "gun free" school zone that has no cops or armed security * (young school kids are a lot easier to take on than adults --a adult might think of some sort of "improvised weapon" to use , young school kids will be too scared to fight back in general) -- its like turning a hungry lion loose in a pen of sheep with no shepard to protect them. -- if you got a armed bad guy thats wanting to kill folks -- you need to stop him , and by the way most likely your going to have to kill him to stop him * the fastest and easist way to do that is to shoot him dead ( and thus you need a armed "good man" to do that)

The Fort Hood shooting was a shooting that took place on November 5, 2009 at Fort Hood, the most populous U.S. military installation in the world, located just outside Killeen, Texas.[SUP][/SUP]In the course of the shooting, a single gunman killed 13 people and wounded 29 others.
No "armed good men" on that base?

[h=3]bases[/h] The Army prohibits soldiers from carrying personal firearms inside Fort Hood and other bases. They want to reduce casual violence among the soldiers. Military weapons are used only for training or by base security, and personal weapons were kept locked away by the provost marshal.[SUP][29][/SUP] Specialist Jerry Richard, a soldier working at the Readiness Center, said he felt this policy left the soldiers vulnerable to violent assaults: "Overseas you are ready for it. But here you can't even defend yourself."[SUP][119][/SUP]Jacob Sullum, an opponent of gun control, described the base as a "gun-free zone."[SUP][120][/SUP]

There was a question posted at some Army facility as to wheather they would inforce a law to take guns from civilians. The overall responce was" HELL, NO ". You got to remember the army is, in effect, part of the people. Frank 111-1 profile.jpg

Do they not remember that part of the oath they all took that states - " .....Foriegn and DOMESTIC..."? That word was inserted for a very good reason, and you're all becoming it!
Plus, if they're deployed and any of the sabre rattlers open fire, you can bet your mortgage those soldiers are going to fire back!
