The Quartermaster's Stamp?

Got out for a couple hours to a Confederate campsite. Found some post-war stuff but not much. And then I pulled this stamp out. It says CAPERS. I looked up the regiment that camped there and found a man with the last name Capers that was the quartermaster of the regiment. I hope this is his. Enjoy!

Oh how cool would that be if you're able to verify the stamp was indeed his and used during the CW. There must be an example of an item with his stamp on it for comparison no?

I looked his name up and everything. Found out he was 43 in 1861. His middle name was Elizabeth... I couldn't find much more about him than that he was the quartermaster in the regiment.
