Hit the river Wednesday and got there late and had to leave early. The 5 X 8 doesn't cover as much ground as the 8.5 X 11, but keeps finding the small jewelry for me. Found a bell shaped ear ring, no markings. Found another odd shaped ear ring with a stone, that fell out while I was showing it to Mama at her house. Thinks it's real, but got to test and glad it didn't fall out at the river. Found what looks like a pearl ear ring, but don't know how to tell real pearl from synthetic. A button that is very light in weight and feels like plastic, but the coils says it's metal. Some type of bracket on the end of the other ear rings, but don't know what it is. 3 dimes, 2 nickels & 9 pennies.
A stone in the hand is worth two in the bush. lol

Nice finds! Hope it's all the real deal for ya!
I found a ring once minus the stone, been looking for a loose diamond for it thought I found one in Walmart parking lot. Noticed a small sparkly stone laying on the ground when I got out of the truck, tested it when I got home, nope!
The coating on fake pearls sometimes flakes off. Real Pearls have a soft glowing slightly multi color to them.

That double erring back, may be for a double piercing of some sort.

I've heard that rubbing the pearl across your teeth. If it's smooth, not real, ruff, real.

I'd wash that pearl off really good before sticking it against my teeth. Just my opinion though. :D

I was thinking the same thing, Sand-duner. I plan to let a jeweler look at it.
