I got to hunt for a little bit today, about 4 hours all told. I didn't find anything until I found this right before I was getting ready to leave. My only find was this Thebes Hafted Scraper. I thought it may have been a Lost Lake, but I'm pretty sure it's a Dog Legged Thebes. It's made from Carter Cave Flint and is very translucent in spots. It has a very deep notch on one side and I tried to get a good picture of the Punch Notch technique used to form these types of notches.

Steve great piece! Love that notch.

Thanks. That's definitely a deep one. I'm surprised either tang survived being rolled around in a field. This field has given up at least 6 other Thebes I know of and two were Hafted Scrapers.

Cool find Steve. Anything notched is always a great find here in Ohio......nice to see I am not the only mad mudder out there. Did you check your boot soles when you got home? Ha.
