The other night I went back to the same spot I've been hitting, that produced my first 2 silver coins. I've been going back over the same areas I've already covered because I know there is always something to be missed. Sure enough, my first good signal was my 3rd silver quarter. It was only a Washington, a 1936, but a welcome sight nonetheless! After getting that silver fever I kept on trucking but had no more luck in that department. However I did find another coal scrip token from Consolidated Coal Company identical to one I dug a few blocks away, a 1935 German coin (I googled it but quickly forgot the name), a 1938 rabies vaccination tag, a small buckle, and what appears to be a knob or latch from a cabinet or door. The back side of the latch is engraved "S & Company". It looks to be quite old but is in quite good condition. Not my most exciting hunt but....wait, what am I saying??? Every hunt is exciting!

Don't say "only a Washington" especially a 1936 - these early ones in the series don't show up that often !(D mint would be key).
Nice find ! - I think that place is still holding an SLQ for you - you already found the Barber, and the Washingtons .

Good stuff Fro. Show me a close up of that buckle bud

Argentium, I would be ecstatic to pop out a SLQ! I'm definitely not done with this site. I'll keep pounding it until I get all it has to offer!
Ahab, I'll try to remember to upload a better buckle pic soon. I'm on the road to my brother's graduation in Radford right now!

A nice bunch of older pieces indeed.
I as curious about the buckle also.

Sorry for the delay, here are some shots of the buckle:

I'd be happy with that haul any day, and congrats to your brother.

Nice, I love finding Washingtons, and those vaccination tags are always a cool find!
