This is the most fake video I have ever seen!!

ive never seen nuggetnoggin find anything really valuable, his stuff looks legit to me, he usually finds three marbles and some nails. pretty lame to bring up a young guys name who works hard and loves what he does in the same context as this infomercial

My meaning was that these people are trying to do what nuggetnoggin has done but they're doing it the dishonest way. They too want the number of subscribers so that Garrett will take notice and utilize them as their spokespeople.

This forum is for "latest finds", nevertheless, the video hasn't corrupted anyone I hope. If those coins had ANY mint luster on them he surely took it away. I'm stoked by this video. I think I might go and trade my White's for a Garrett, and then start detecting for the lost dutchman's mine on Jacksonville Beach...in a can of hand cleaner!

thread moved for obvious reasons.

was this an April Fools Video ?
or Trying to Scam Garrett out of A prize ?
I would hope they were not in on it.

look at the shine & lettering on the can.
not to mention the well mixed Hand Cleaner.
It never had time to Separate.

I would hope Garrett would realize the Damage it would do to their Reputation.
by putting their name to this

This exactly. By the way, can someone explain what hand cleaner is? I understand that as some type of soap for motor oily hands and such, I have just never seen them being sold in cans, that strikes me as odd.

The can obviously says WATERLESS HAND CLEANER .
However it looks like it may have been painted or put on with a Black Marker.
I can't tell.
the ones I get when I google have Brand Names. not the words WATERLESS HAND CLEANER
on a paint free can.

But I'll look because I am bored at the moment :laughing7:

Strange stuff, never seen that before. Looks much more like actual paint than something that I would suspect gets my hands cleaner than they were :)

Actually I have purchased large glass Gallon Jugs (Pickle Jars) of Handclaner at Auction.
The jugs were filled from large Barrels, So I can't rule out
the hand cleaner was really in the can before they threw the coins in.
But I can't find a Match for the Brand.

I do find it Very odd they would Risk damage to the Gold Coins,
By rubbing them with the cloth.
It's obvious they did not Borrow them from a coin shop.

Interesting. Over here in Germany I've never seen them, all I have is stuff that looks and feels like wet sand in a tube, but it does clean hands very well. I guess I learned something today, a good day!

The stuff I used was more like a Jelly. Not particularly Grainy,
But smells like Fuel. and yes guts grease & dirt like washing in Gasoline does.

The hand cleaner would of congealed or separated as well as discolored. The coins are from different eras. The early 1800's vs the late 1800's are to radically different eras. The economies of both are very different. Those early date coins(1820'S) would have never stayed in circulation.

The 1921 Morgan tells the whole story. Which means that, the person that buried the cache, assuming he was 16(about the time when young men of that era were adults) when he got his earliest coins(to me the 1820's), was 116 years old.

Videos like these destroy the hobby. Period.

I can't believe all the Kudos on You Tube.
Are people that easily Fooled ?
I didn't see one accusation earlier when I checked the comments

Here is a shorter Teaser Video

I noticed the same thing. I would guess that he is deleting the negative comments. Even videos of kittens get negative comments on YouTube... so there is no way, not a single person didn't call them out.

I made it to the second gold coin before skipping to the end.

What kind of idiot takes these type of coins out, wipes with a dirty rag, rubs them with his nasty fingers, and drops them on a metal tailgate sliding them around?

You can't fake that kind of dumb.

I got that same shovel.... But I use it bury squirrels...and sometimes cats.

That is the one thing that keeps Haunting Me.

They talk about how nice some of the coins are Condition wise,
But rub them like they have absolutely no connection to them at all.

They look real, If they came from their Collection, You would think They would be more Careful.
Same with if they Borrowed them.

Only things that come to mind Is they really found them & have no clue, as to what they are doing.

Or they are all professional grade Copies. right down to actual Content.
But that is usually only done for rare dates.
& they would have the word Copy stamped on them Somewhere.

Other option they were Stolen & they are Creating an Alibi
along with altering the coins enough to Prevent ID.

as I said, Bragging how Fantastic they look While Rubbing Them ?

My son forwarded me this video a few days ago. My first thought was why was it so easy to pull the can from the ground? My second thought was why isn't the can completely rusted away after 70 years in ground and how did they know the date of burial? Finally, why keep pulling one coin at a time out of the can? If i knew there were coins in it i would have dumped the whole thing on the towel and gone insane with excitement! I hate videos like this and i hate stupid people that cant even get it right. If your going to deceive me please make it half way believable.

Yes I can almost Forget the fact The Flying eagle looked Brand new.
No Tarnish what so ever. being if it were submersed in glop for 70 Years.
but there should not have been such fresh looking Hand cleaner.
if anything the Oils should have separated and been floating on top.
Of course after 70 Years, the can should have Rusted Through &
the contents have just been Part of The ground. even with the rock on top.

this was most definitely a fresh burial.
the reason why, I'm not 100% sure on.
because of the way they treated the coins.
but it's obvious they are full of crap.
