Have you Ever Heard of Gold Breaking ?

I found a Ring, & I'm glad I had a Probe, because it came out the Ground in Pieces.

Using Duct Tape I was able to Put it together long enough for a Picture.

ONLY Marking inside : OB 10 the rest is gone.

Assuming that the maker's mark is complete...

If it's O-B, either plain or in a circle, it's probably Ostby & Barton Co. Providence, RI, c. 1880 to recent or current.

If it's O & B in a shield, or written O 10 B, then it's Richard Oliver & Bloomfield, NYC, c. 1890-1900.

BTW, great job on the Barbers, too!

Thanks PBK its just Plain OB10 there may be a slight Space between
the B & the 1 I'm Taking it that it's 10K & the K is Missing.
where it's Broken it is Gold, So I'm Hopeing it's not H.G.E.
but it is strange how Breakable it is.

Nice fids today jeff. This dry p.a grounds are killing the silvers I find also. They can get scratched so easily.

But it's hard to stay away. Silver loves to call on you even if your busy or dead tiered.

Nice finds. Funny how you post though.....I'm thinking you didn't do that great showing one ring and some clad...but then it gets better as you keep scrolling. :D ;D

We got some rain in Northern Ohio - Columbus and south still bone dry.
