After digging several pieces of trash....I had a 12-43.....12-44....13-45...come up on the monitor. I again thought it would be another can top or something like it. To my surprise it was a 1935 walking half.....of course I had to put a nick in it. Just remember....(which I didn't)...always dig like it is going to be something special.....happy trails

that's awesome. so many of the walkers that are dug are dated in the 40's, I really love it to see the earlier ones dug. congrats!
 

Keep swinging Anita....it only took me about 8 years to find one....and there was a 10 minute " happy dance ".....lol.....happy trails
 

You are just practicing for this weekend. I can recognize that old trick a mile away. Hope you find many more. You get those newer halfs out of the way so i can get the big coins! Nice job!

Love them walkers Greg I got my 1st and 2nd one this year. 44 & 42 after that I'am on the hunt for more now I know what they sound like lol.

Thanks again all.....I just love this hobby. Looks like I will be meeting about 50 or so more folks in Kansas this weekend for some chislom trail hunting.....sure hope I get my coil above a seated half.....yahoo.....happy trails all....and see you there Bob.
 

Beautiful coin!!! I find myself doing the same when I get tired...it's hard to call it quits for the day though...
