This is my first attempt at posting from an iPod due to computer issues. Anyhow I hit the fairgrounds with my six year old son becAuse his schools on strike. I focused on the area where the ride called the zipper was and scored big! My son sat on his butt w the pinpointer and was finding coins left n right . Our total take was $18.84 ( 169) pennies (9) nickels (62) dimes and (42)quarters!!! Most were surface finds and some were just below the surface, problem from the past yr or two! Hope this thread works thanks for looking and HH!!!!

$6 an hour is doing really well! I generally average a dollar an hour. Sweet!

Kinda fun when you're pulling close to federal minimum wage one coin at a time ! I've had a few digs where I was making about ten bucks an hour !

That's a LOT of digging. Congrats!

Way more than half were surface finds mixed in the grass, I'd never b able to dig that much in 3 hrs. The only real digging I did was for a few targets at two inches, plus I had the little guy helping . before this my highest clad was about eleven bucks. Thanks!

My county doesn't allow metal detecting at our fairgrounds. Think about all that change just sitting there getting older and older and older......our fair grounds has been there for over 100 yrs. it screams at me every time I drive by.

I know the people on the board who run it and I got special permission which is pretty sweet. It's my clad failsafe place when I need a fix. You should try to schmooze someone to get access to yours

I'll have to do some research to see who is on the board. Thanks for the tip!!

Heh, I rode a Zipper at the Shenandoah county fair a couple of weeks ago and imagined all the change that must fall to the ground there. Especially when my friend lost all of his and it was clanging around inside the cage with us until it finally escaped to the ground.

Lol yeah it was a blast. I'm not quite sure it was true "detecting" since most were surface finds
